Has good flavor, makes a great cup of coffee! A good start to autumn!
I needed a low acid coffee while trying to get off heartburn meds. The Java Planet Sumatra was highly rated, so I gave it a shot. It's been wonderful! Good, full flavor, while not triggering heartburn. I drink it either black or with a little unsweetened almond milk. Just getting ready to place my second order so I don't run out!
I was looking for mold free coffee but was reluctant to make the switch because I really did like my old coffee (I'm a bit of a coffee snob). I've tried the Papua New Guinea and Costa Rica and they are both excellent! I love dark roast coffee, these do not disappoint. I find myself enjoying one flavorful cup and not craving more like I did with my old coffee. The way you brew makes a difference, I wouldn't waste this good coffee in a drip pot. I make mine with a press and it really is excellent. Costs a little more, but you are getting 16 oz instead of the usual 12 and it is worth it!
I'm not a love everything pumpkin spice person, but this coffee is amazing!

This is a medium dark roast. I prefer a medium roast. It is very good though.
I love coffee. I drink it black & strong. Or I used to. Recently I experienced Acid Reflux for the first time & I can no longer enjoy coffee. I heard about low acid coffee & found Java Planet. The USPS took forever to deliver my order. But I finally received it yesterday & brewed a cup this morning. It was delicious & did not cause me pain. I think I can enjoy a cup or two of my favorite morning beverage again. Thank you, Java Planet!
I would like to be able to say I loved this coffee, but I can't. For me, the flavor is a bit too much on it's own. I now mix it 1/3 to 2/3 regular coffee (which is Java Planet and I love) so it is more palatable for me like this.
We spent a long time, researching coffee. I needed a low acid coffee. Java planet also uses fair trade for the coffee growers, They are a single origin coffee, And they grow their coffee in the shade. They also use a steam process, not a chemical process for their decaf beans. They grind the beans for us right before sending it out. 10 out of 10!!!!
We recently learned about the dangers of mold found in most coffees, so we tried Java Planet organic espresso. Very pleasantly surprised by how rich and smooth it is compared to the espresso we've been brewing for the past 30 years. A really nice dark roast with great crema. We thought we were going to have to compromise on taste to get organic. Not so. This is a big step up! Never going back.
I've always been a "I like a little coffee with my creamer" kind of gal. Yay for finally finding delicious coffee! This is SO GOOD! Knowing that this is low acid, mold free, organic coffee makes it even better. Well done Java Planet!
We really love the taste of Java Planet's Costa Rica Organic Coffee!! Our last brand was starting to really bother my husbands and my stomach. We are so happy we found Java Planet and their low acidity coffee!!
I bought this coffee because I started to have gastric stomach pain. I am able to safely drink this with zero stomach pain. I made this our household coffee and my husband no longer has acid reflux. Win win. The best part is the smooth taste. I hate bitter coffee. We hand grind it for the stove top percolator and it’s the best coffee we have had in years.
It tastes more like a light than a medium-dark, however. My opinion. I prefer a darker, syrupy coffee. Especially in the morning….lol…But, all in all the Peru coffee is very smooth with mild flavor. Thank you
This coffee is some of the best smelling and tasting Guatemalan coffee I have had. It also is true low-acid coffee that sits very well in the gut and doesn't inflame me as much as other coffees. I love it and will buy more! When I drink other coffee now, even those that I had regularly in the past, they pale in taste!

My coffee smells like a chemical. I tried to make an espresso twice but the taste is off. Waste of money.
Espresso blend gives your coffee a thick creamy and smooth finish. Just what I was looking for to top off my blend One tablespoon of espresso blend, Costa Rica, Sumatra, Illy intenso and one tablespoon Illy medium roast you won’t be disappointed!!!
The Carmel Organic is the family favorite, smooth taste no unpleasant after taste like I have experienced with other coffee brands Carmel flavored coffee. I also like the low acid especially for heartburn sufferers in my family.
Black Magic is my favorite coffee of Java Planet! The coffee is very smooth and has a wonderful taste.
It was my first time buying this particular roast. As a big fan of dark roasts, I really looked forward to enjoying it - the label claims it has a balanced body, chocolate and caramel notes. The reality can't be further from that. The beans turned out to be over-roasted and oily as if they were soaked in oil. It's nearly impossible to get any taste notes out of them except bitterness, and I have a lot of control over my espresso methods using a Decent DE1Pro machine. These beans aren't cheap (nearly twice as expensive compared to my other FTO organic choices), and they shouldn't be sent to customers when so scorched. While I enjoyed other beans/roasts from Java Planet, I don't think I will ever be ordering any more of these (even though it might be simply a quality control issue and not the coffee beans/roast). Sadly, this order/roast didn't meet the expectations and ruined the experience.
I’ve been a royal customer for a long time. This is my first time writing a review. Unfortunately, 5 lbs whole beans bag didn’t seal properly. I am not sure what do to do now?! The coffee is great, but very disappointing.
I've waited months before sending a review because I wanted to be sure this coffee was not going to aggravate my acid reflux. I had a severe episode of reflux several months ago, was put on medication, and was told I had to give up coffee. I tried to give it up, I really did but I love a good cup of coffee and so I was on a mission to find a coffee that was truly low acid but still flavorful. I finally found it with Java Planets low acid coffees - I love them all! I have not had one episode of reflux and I drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day! I'm just ecstatic that I found this coffee and also love that it's bird friendly and organic! I have introduced family and friends to Java Planet and they love it also. Keep up the good work!
